We tend to think of our bodies a bit like cars, any malfunctions need a 'fix' to that one part. Just like one part can cause malfunctions elsewhere in the car, so the body is all one big ecosystem that can be thriving or spluttering.

Sometimes symptoms are clear & we seek advice. Sometimes they are mild & we sort of splutter along until we reach a crisis.
​
Mental & physical health are completely intertwined - that's a given. They both need to work to keep that ecosystem going. It's not even that simple - lifestyle medicine offers extra support in critical areas like nutrition, exercise, social life & sleep (those last 2 might be a surprise).
